Trustworthy tech help, in your home or over a remote session

Technology at home is supposed to make life easier, and most of the time it does, right up until the laptop takes ten minutes to boot, the printer disappears from the network, or a new computer arrives in a box and nobody wants to be the one to set it up. Alveris IT helps homeowners, families, home-office professionals, students, and retirees across the Lehigh Valley with exactly those problems.

You deal directly with Alen Kurtish, a certified IT professional with a B.S. in Information Technology and years of experience supporting a large organization with thousands of users. That background means careful troubleshooting, sensible security, and fixes that stay fixed. Everything gets explained in plain language, and nobody is made to feel foolish for asking.

Many issues can be solved in a secure remote screen-sharing session, which is faster and less expensive. When hands-on work is needed, we come to you in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Emmaus, Whitehall, Nazareth, Macungie, Hellertown, and the surrounding Lehigh and Northampton County communities. Either way, you know the price before anything starts, and there is never a contract.

Illustrative example, not a client case study. A retired couple in Bethlehem has a desktop that has slowed to a crawl and a printer that only works some days. A quick phone conversation confirms a home visit makes sense. During the visit we run a diagnostic and tune-up, find the printer dropping off a congested Wi-Fi channel, fix both, set up an automatic backup of their photos, and write down what changed. They pay the prices agreed on the phone, nothing more.

Home tech support: common questions

What does in-home computer help cost in the Lehigh Valley?
A computer diagnostic and tune-up starts at $89, printer setup at $129, Wi-Fi and network setup at $149, virus and malware removal at $149, data transfer at $149, and new PC or Mac setup at $169. General on-site support is $95 per hour with a 1.5 hour minimum, and remote support is $75 per hour. These are starting points; you get the exact price before any work begins.
What does the free 15-minute consultation include?
A short phone conversation to understand what is going on, confirm whether we can help, decide whether remote or in-person service makes sense, and discuss approximate pricing. There is no obligation. It is not a free troubleshooting session, remote support session, diagnostic, or home visit; those are separate services that are always priced before scheduling.
Do you come to my home, or is everything remote?
Both. In-home visits are available across the Lehigh Valley, and many problems can be solved faster in a secure remote screen-sharing session. We recommend whichever makes sense for your situation, and you always know the price first.
Can you help someone who is not comfortable with technology?
Yes. A lot of home tech support is for people who simply want someone patient and trustworthy to handle technology for them. We explain things in plain language, never make anyone feel foolish for asking, and offer one-on-one tech tutoring at $75 per hour for anyone who wants to feel more confident with their own devices.
Can you recover my password or get into a locked account?
We help with email setup, password managers, MFA, and walking through the official account recovery process with you. We cannot bypass account security or access accounts that are not yours. Email, password, and account help is billed at the remote or on-site hourly rate.
Do I need a contract for home tech support?
No. Home support is pay-per-service or per session with no contract, no membership, and no minimum commitment. Call again whenever something comes up.
