Choose the help you need
- New PC/Mac Setup, starting at $169. Updates, accounts, applications, printer and Wi-Fi connections, and the settings you want ready on day one.
- Data Transfer, starting at $149. Files, photos, and documents moved from the old computer. The price depends on how much there is and whether the old device still works.
- Tech Tutoring, $75 per hour. Patient help learning the things you use most.
Setup and data transfer are separate services. If you need both, ask for one combined price. The starting prices do not include every possible task. Software licenses, subscriptions, storage devices, travel, and extra work are discussed before scheduling.
What to tell us before the appointment
- The make and model of the old and new computers, and whether each is a PC or Mac.
- Whether the old computer starts and whether you can access your files.
- The folders, photos, documents, and applications that matter most.
- Whether you already have a backup and an external drive.
- Your service ZIP code and preference for in-home or remote help.
Do not put account passwords or recovery codes in your inquiry. Account sign-in and any required authorization are handled with you during the agreed service.
Protect the old copy while you move
Keep the old device and existing backup until you have checked the files you need on the new computer. Some applications need a fresh installation or a compatible license; a file transfer does not automatically migrate every program or password.
If the old drive is failing, files are missing, or the device will not start, describe that before booking. Routine file transfer is different from specialist recovery. We talk through whether the work makes sense first. Recovery is never guaranteed.

Hands-on setup, transfers, troubleshooting, and visits are separately priced. General on-site support is $95 per hour with a 1.5-hour minimum ($142.50); remote support starts at $75 per hour.
